Teagle Overall Winner at the Cornwall Sustainability Awards 2016
Teagle Machinery is honoured and delighted to receive “Best Managed Large Business” and “Overall Winner” at the 2016 Cornwall Sustainability Awards.
The aim of the Sustainability Awards is to encourage, reward and gain recognition for the excellent work businesses are doing to improve their own sustainability, and that of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly as a whole.
As part of the application process, the Business was assessed in the following areas: Energy, Pollution, Waste & Resource Management, Water, Transport, Purchasing & Local Economy, Buildings & Land Use, Community Participation, Employment Practices and Environmental Management.
Colin Teagle, who is Facilities Manager at the Blackwater site, explained “It is amazing to have such excellent recognition for the hard work we have put into making our business sustainable for the future and this gives us renewed enthusiasm to keep focusing and improving in these areas”.
The judges were particularly impressed by the Company’s continued efforts to reduce energy usage, our large investment in renewable energy and also reduction in pollution by replacing solvent based wet spray painting with powder coating.
