You said...we did

During the Tomahawk 8200 and 8250 Dual Chop research and development stages we listened to your feedback and made improvements exactly where you wanted them.
The four areas we focussed on were:

  1. Ease of use
  2. Performance
  3. Maintenance and durability
  4. Clean and safe operation

1. EASE OF USE
We introduced our SYNCHRO advanced control system.

You said:
Quickly Stop / Start processing when moving around sheds.

We did:
The control box now has a pause button. When paused, the bale is moved away from the crossbeater and processing stops immediately.

You said:
Keep the bale off the crossbeater when loading for a cleaner start-up.

We did:
In the pause position the bale is held off the crossbeater and the top hood automatically opens.

You said:
Any of my operators should be able to use it.

We did:
Simplified controls mean the operator only needs to push the pause/run button and turn a dial which controls SYNCHRONISED movement of bale restraint and bed chain.

2. PERFORMANCE
Now you can feed faster and spread further.

You said:
Process bales faster.

We did:
The operator now has progressive control of the feed rate with a variable position bale restraint. The restraint can now be adjusted via WiFi control from the tractor to suit different materials.

You said:
Blow straw further.

We did:
A revised fan and 8 paddle design increases the blow distance and delivers a consistent material flow.

You said:
Dual Chop - Increase short chop output and consistency.

We did:
The 8250 incorporates the 3rd Generation Dual Chop system which has a larger diameter crossbeater, delivering 35% increase in tip speed, and a 40% larger open area at the screen.

3. MAINTENANCE AND DURABILITY
We ensured you’d be making a sound investment.

You said:
Improve Paint finish

We did:
Over the last two years Teagle have invested over £2.5m in a state-of-the-art shot blast and double coat powder coat paint plant, in addition to around £250k on pre-treatment and edge radiusing equipment. Our quality regime now includes an on-site 1000-hour salt spray test to ensure process durability.

You said:
Make maintenance easier.

We did:
We have added a centralised greasing bank to make routine lubrication easier. Fan paddles can be quickly switched if damaged, without having to remove the fan itself. Stones and debris can quickly be removed at the rear of the machine via a drop-down hatch.

4. CLEAN AND SAFE OPERATION
We put safety first.

You said:
Reduce dust

We did:
Offer our Hydroshield dust suppression spray kit as an optional extra

You said:
Make sure it is safe for my operators to use

We did:
For safe highway use the 8200 range is fully Homologated. The 8200 also complies with all newly updated safety standards.

You said:
Don’t make a mess in the yard.

We did:
The sides and tailgate are taller, and the top cover longer, to keep the bale in the machine. There is also a wider silage discharge slide to control feed output.

We also updated the tailgate posts and chain to a heavy-duty bale beam with 6 adjustable working positions and 1 self-loading position.
